The effects of the COVID-19 lockdown are taking their toll on people, this individual has resorted to therapy for help and guidance. In their virtual week assessment to camera, we see the highs and lows of being isolated inside an apartment, with very little outlet for frustrations, negative thoughts and opinions.

Filmed in a car, on an iPhone near a busy road... the reality of performance in lock-down. Ravenhill's play re-imagined, in a world of anger and distaste. How did the funeral go? What was she like? Did her Agent push her over the edge? Commissioned as part of a project at the Manchester School of Theatre.

Filmed and performed in the notable Z-Arts Centre in Manchester, this piece explored the relationship between audience and performers. By reversing the roles of both, and having the audience stand on the stage space - this presents the idea of the watchers being watched.

This 'silent stage' is centred around power and status, and interpretations. Gender, stilletos, a terrace and a funeral. With the comparison between the heel-barer and the bare-footed, we are taken on a journey from a birds-eye perspective. Think Power. Think Funerals. Think Men. Think.

An extract from 'Empty'

Empty is a play about two men in 1980s Britain, suffering the consequences of the AIDS epidemic and life under Thatcher, conservatism and Catholicism. Written and performed by Connor Goodwin, this unpublished play has been six years in the making, and pushes boundaries for LGBTQ+ narratives.
